ADMINISTRATION SET-UP
1. District Collector & District Magistrate is the head of District Administration. There is only one Additional District Magistrate sitting at District HQ.
2. The District Tonk 7 subdivisions. There are 7 Subdivisional Officers working at Dub Divisions.
3. There are 7 Tehsil Headquarters in Tonk District and each one has a Tehsildar as an administrative Officer who works in accordance with the Land Records System. Two Sub tehsils are headed by a Naib tehsildar.
4. There are Six Panchayat samitis and each one is headed by a Block Deevelopment Officer (BDO).
5. There are One Nagar parishad and Five Nagar Palikas in Tonk District.
6. The Tonk District at present have seven sub-division viz. Tonk, Malpura , Peeplu, Newai, Deoli, Toda, Raisingh and Uniara comprising seven Tehsils and six panchayat samities. The details of administrative set up in Tonk district is given in the Table –
